"Where is your store location?"
We are in the East Bay! To work our way to having a brick and mortar, we are participating in pop-ups in Oakland and Alameda. Follow our social media to find out where we will be next! @groundinggrooves
"What do you sell?"
We sell vinyl records and sustainable, locally made goods like jewelry, textiles, art and home/kitchen wares. Our inventory will expand as we grow to incorporate more local artisans.
"How are vinyl records sustainable?"
The records we curate will most likely stick around in someone's collection for a long time. Sure, vinyl isn't necessarily great for the environment, but if you're going to collect one thing, why not hold onto your favorite music and pass it down to the next generations. Vinyl isn't typically found in landfills due to its resurgence in popularity and records can be (and are) melted down and reused.
If you have damaged records, you can repurpose them into art, bowls, journal covers and many other useful things!
"What's your deal, bruh??"
We showcase local artists & musicians. Our goal is to have 90% Bay Area musicians on our shelves, unlike any other record shop in the Bay. We want to be a safe space for all and an unpretentious place to find sustainable wares and your favorite records.
